A collection built across generations

Many of Holy Rosary’s original stained-glass windows were created by the Weaver Studio in Pittsburgh during the 1920s. The collection did not remain frozen in time, however. Additional windows continued to be added through the 1960s and 1970s, leaving the building with stained glass representing several generations of the community’s history.

Sadly, during the years the former church stood unheated and unoccupied, some of the windows were damaged by vandals and panes of historic glass were broken out. Today, the Rose Garden is committed to preserving the surviving glass and, wherever possible, repairing and restoring what has been damaged.

PRESERVATION

Help Restore the Windows

Restoring historic stained glass is painstaking, specialized work. Gifts to the Stained Glass Window Fund help repair, restore and protect these windows so they can remain here, in the building for which they were made, for generations to come.
